Why do we empower young people?
Millions of Nigerian youth are trapped in cycles of poverty not because they lack potential, but because they lack access. We exist to unlock oppurtunites by enabling education and skills acquisition.
Too Many Dreams are Derailed by Poverty
In Nigeria, children from low-income families are often forced to drop out of school due to financial constraints. Over 10 million Nigerian children are out of school, and many who begin education never make it past junior secondary level.

Skills are in Demand but Training is Inaccessible
As industries evolve, the need for technical and digital skills grows but vocational training remains underfunded and inaccessible for youth from low-income backgrounds. We believe access to these skills should not be a privilege, but a right.
Limited Access to Post-basic Education
Only about 55% of eligible students transition to senior secondary school, and fewer than 12% gain admission into higher institutions. For many, even getting a chance to write WAEC and JAMB is an impossible financial hurdle.

We Exist to Break This Cycle
At LONG Empowerment Foundation, we provide academic and vocational scholarships, mentorship, and a thriving support community to help youth rise above their circumstances and rewrite their stories. Because when given the tools, our youth don’t just survive they lead.
Who can benefit from our programs?
We are looking for young people who meet the following requirements.
